We do not normally use this space for a post like this. Christian Leadership is where we open Scripture, examine our character, and talk about what faithfulness looks like in the responsibilities we carry. We want to keep it that way. Today, though, I would like to take a brief opportunity to introduce you to Hedraios, the work I am building alongside this publication, and show you what is available for you and your local church.
The connection is practical. We spend a great deal of time here talking about putting faith into action. Hedraios gives me another way to do that through software, resources, music, and work that can help other people. Its purpose is simple: bring the Word into everyday life. That might mean helping someone understand a difficult chapter, giving a pastor useful material for Sunday, or helping a church remember to follow up with someone who asked for prayer. Each project begins with a particular need. Here is a look at the work, including what you can use today and what is still being built.
Scripture Mapping: read with more context
Scripture Mapping and Scripture Context: begin with the passage and explore its context.
Scripture Mapping is a free Bible study website built around reading a whole chapter and exploring what surrounds it. Alongside the biblical text, you can open study material covering historical context, themes, key people, cross-references, study questions, and other dimensions. The site spans all 1,189 chapters of the Bible, with connections that help you follow a subject beyond the first verse that catches your attention. You can begin reading without an account. My hope is that it helps you slow down long enough to ask better questions of the passage. The study analysis is AI-generated and should be checked against Scripture itself; it is a study aid, and the text remains the authority.
There is also Hedraios Scripture Context in ChatGPT, which brings passage context, cross-references, and a Bible study workspace into a conversation. Both tools display the World English Bible. They offer different ways into the same practice: read carefully, examine the context, and return to the passage rather than stopping at someone else’s explanation.
Ready to Preach: useful work shared with the church
Ready to Preach: resources to study, adapt, and use with your congregation.
Ready to Preach is our marketplace for sermon resources. Pastors and teachers can browse material, read a sample, and purchase resources to download and adapt for their own congregation. Depending on the listing, a package may include a manuscript, discussion questions, and graphics. Churches and writers can also submit their own work for review and sale. The value runs in both directions: one church’s careful preparation can become useful to another, and the people who created the material can be paid for that work. The responsibility to study, pray, and know the people in front of you still belongs to the person teaching. These resources are meant to help with preparation while leaving room for your voice, your judgment, and your congregation’s needs.
Hedraios Coffee: help carry the work
Hedraios Coffee: coffee for the work before us.
Yes, coffee belongs in this introduction too. Hedraios Coffee is our specialty coffee line, with First Light, Steadfast, and Deep Roots in the shop. The phrase behind it is “Coffee for the work before us.” There is something fitting about supporting this work through an ordinary purchase that already belongs in many people’s mornings. Coffee revenue helps fund Scripture-centered apps and music, leadership and discipleship resources, and community outreach. The coffee should earn its place in your kitchen on its own merits, and you should be able to see the work your purchase helps support. If you enjoy coffee, take a look at the shop and see whether one of the offerings sounds like your next cup.
Free development for your local church
Free development begins with a real need and a conversation.
This is the part I especially want pastors, church staff, and volunteers to hear: Hedraios offers software development for local churches at no charge when the project fits what we can build. You do not need to arrive with a technical specification. Start with the people you serve and the problem that keeps getting in their way. Perhaps something important keeps getting lost between a conversation and the person who needs to act on it. We want to understand the need before deciding whether software would actually help. The strongest fit is a small, clear project that supports Christian practice, can be maintained responsibly, and could eventually help other churches too.
There are limits to what a small team can take on. A suitable request goes onto the roadmap; acceptance and completion dates are not automatic. We also need someone at the church willing to try early versions and give honest feedback. The development is free, and any running costs we cannot carry would be discussed before they become your responsibility. If that sounds useful, read how the free-development partnership works and tell us about your church’s need. A plain description of what keeps going wrong is a good place to begin.
Monuments: remember what God has done
Monuments: keep a record you can return to.
Monuments is available for iPhone. It gives you a place to record moments of God’s faithfulness and return to them later. You can capture the story while it is fresh, include a photo, and revisit what you wrote when the next difficult season makes remembering harder. Private use does not require an account. The point is to keep a personal record that you can return to with gratitude and honesty. A remembered answer does not tell us exactly how the next prayer will be answered. It does help us resist allowing today’s uncertainty to erase everything we have already witnessed. Sometimes the most useful thing a tool can do is help us remember.
Coming next: Hedraios Care and Prayer Requests
In development: tools to support prayer, care, and follow-through.
Hedraios Care is in development. We are building a simple way for a church to receive prayer requests and requests for help, assign responsibility, and follow through. A person asking for help should be able to understand who can see the request and what is happening with it. The people caring for them need a clear next step and a way to keep the conversation going. That is the problem Care is being built to address. Software can help organize the responsibility, but a person still needs to pray, call, listen, and show up. We will share more as it becomes ready for churches to use.
We are also working on the Prayer Requests app, focused on recording prayer, sharing with trusted people and groups, and remembering answers over time. It is still in development as well. Care focuses on a church’s coordination and follow-through; Prayer Requests focuses on the practice of praying and remembering together. We are introducing both now so you can see where the work is headed, without presenting either as a finished product you can download today.
Music, updates, and a simple invitation
Explore Bible-story songs and lyric videos on Hedraios’s YouTube channel.
Hedraios also makes Bible-story songs and illustrated lyric videos. Music offers another way to spend time with an account from Scripture and carry it into an ordinary day. The songs point listeners back to the passages behind them. You can explore them on Hedraios’s YouTube channel, and follow Hedraios on Threads for updates from the work. If you would like a simple place to see the projects together, start at Hedraios.now.
You do not need to use everything here. Try the resource that meets an actual need. Share the free-development page with someone at your church who has been trying to solve a small, persistent problem. Pass along a song, explore a chapter, or record a moment you do not want to forget. I wanted you to know this work exists because it grows out of the same conviction that shapes Christian Leadership: what we believe should make a difference in how we serve. Thank you for giving me a little room to show you what we are building. The purpose of this publication remains the same, and I am grateful to have you here.
